ARCADIA, Fla. (TND) — A law enforcement agency in Florida is warning drivers to take a second look if they’re being pulled over by someone in a pickup truck.
Monday, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office reported the driver of a vehicle equipped with red and blue lights has been impersonating officers.
The vehicle is a white Chevy Silverado. It has green decals, which is common among local agencies in Florida.
But a closer look shows the pickup has the words “Booty Patrol” on its sides and back.
That’s one way to tell it’s illegitimate.
Authorities said the impersonating isn’t just happening in DeSoto County, but in several other counties across Florida.
Anyone with information on the pickup or driver is asked to call police.
