Inaugural Women of Westmoreland fashion show attracts 200 to Hempfield venue

About 200 people attended an inaugural fashion show held by the Women of Westmoreland organization Nov. 2 at the Venue Live conference center of Live Casino Pittsburgh in Hempfield.

A program of the Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce, WOW organizes four events each year that provide networking opportunities for members while promoting other nonprofits and businesses in the county.

Those attending the show viewed fashions from Wight Elephant and Crossroads Boutique, both of Greensburg, and Onyx & Ivory, of Ligonier.

The show also featured formal wear available from Angela’s Angels, a Latrobe nonprofit that offers free gowns and accessories for teenage girls in need preparing for a prom or other special event.

Donations were accepted for Angela’s Angels and Women’s Interactive Network, which offers professional business attire and accessories to men and women who are involved in the organization’s workforce development program or are referred for assistance.
