Korean netizens rave over LE SSERAFIM’s stunning 1980s and 1990s hip-hop concept

LE SSERAFIM is making waves with their hip-hop-inspired styling reminiscent of the 1980s and 1990s.

The group unveiled group, unit, and individual photos for the ‘BALMY FLEX’ version, which is the third concept from their upcoming 3rd mini album ‘EASY‘. These photos were shared on the group’s official social media accounts at midnight on January 31 KST.

In their latest photoshoot, the five members embraced the hip-hop fashion trends of the 1980s and 1990s, donning colorful outfits and bold accessories. They reinterpreted and modernized popular items from that era, including lip-lined makeup and colored lens sunglasses, all while maintaining their unique LE SSERAFIM style. Additionally, the group incorporated clothing and accessories from Louis Vuitton, for which all members serve as house ambassadors, adding even more visual appeal.

Korean netizens were enthusiastic in their response and shared their thoughts on a Korean online community.

Huh? Black hair on everyone?”
Is this some kind of dreamy kitsch?
This is my favorite so far.”
This is an unexpected concept.”
It’s crazy good.  I never imagined it, but it’s so pretty.”

Yunjin’s makeup is really overdone, but it suits her haha.”

Wow, something I never imagined came out.”

Today’s one seems to be the main one

Is the title song going to be brighter than expected?
It feels like the image is similar to NewJeans. Looking at it this way, Chaewon looks like Danielle Sakura, Eunchae, Haerin, Kazuha, Minji, Yunjin, and Hyein haha.”
It feels like NewJeans, it has some style.”
I’m looking forward to the song.”

Wow, the concept is crazy. I’m really looking forward to the comeback.

This concept is the prettiest out of all the ones I’ve seen so far haha.”
