Lauren Sánchez loves a bit of sparkle!
The Emmy-winning journalist, 53, stepped out in a floor-length crystal-covered evening gown with a halter neckline from Dolce & Gabbana at the Kering Foundation’s second annual Caring for Women Dinner in New York on Tuesday.
Ahead of the event, she shared a mirror selfie of her nighttime look while getting ready on her Instagram Story. She tagged the designer and jeweler, as well as hairstylist Olivia Halpin and makeup artist Ashlee Glazer.
Along with gold-accented platform heels, she paired her shimmery ensemble with an equally shiny piece of jewelry: her gorgeous engagement ring!
Sánchez got engaged to Jeff Bezos in late May, a source confirmed to PEOPLE.
The ring he proposed with “appears to feature a spectacular cushion cut diamond in the 25-30 carat range set in an ultra-classic four prong platinum mounting,” jeweler and expert Briony Raymond told PEOPLE at the time of the engagement.
Raymond also noted, “The diamond appears to be extremely white; based on a clarity commensurate with such a high color grade, I would estimate the cost for such an extraordinary ring to be anywhere from $3 million to upwards of $5 million depending on the exact specifications of the diamond.”
She added that the diamond sparkler is “a magnificent ring perfectly suited to her fabulous style.”
“Her engagement ring is beyond stunning. And huge! She keeps playing with it and looking at it,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “You can tell she loves it.”
Sánchez first showed off her ring the weekend after news broke of her engagement to the Amazon founder, 59, when the two were photographed on his $500 million yacht in the South of France while on their celebratory engagement trip in Europe.

The couple first made their relationship public in January 2019 after Bezos announced his divorce from MacKenzie Scott after 25 years of marriage and four children together.
At the time, the former Good Day LA co-host was also divorcing her husband of 13 years, Patrick Whitesell. Sánchez has two children with the agent and a son from a previous relationship with former NFL star Tony Gonzalez.
A source told PEOPLE at the time of the engagement that Sánchez’s friends “are thrilled Jeff finally popped the question,” noting that they had been talking about a proposal “for a long time.”
“They are really in love and happy which makes everyone who knows them happy,” the insider added. “She found the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with and they felt the time was right.”
