The Oscar-winning actor showed off his hip-hop skills as he celebrated his 49th birthday with his girlfriend and celebrity friends.
Leonardo DiCaprio is not only a talented actor but also a hip-hop fan. The star of Killers of the Flower Moon turned 49 on Saturday and threw a lavish party at a private mansion in Beverly Hills, where he rapped along to Gang Starr’s classic song “DWYCK” with his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti and other guests.
According to a source who attended the bash, DiCaprio was “raised and carried around the room” by his friends as he spit the bars of the 1994 track, which features Nice & Smooth. The source also said that the actor and the Italian model, 25, were “affectionate and kissing throughout the night.”
The party was attended by many A-list stars, including Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Tobey Maguire, Taika Waititi and Axl Rose. Lil Wayne also performed for the VIP crowd, and everyone sang along to classic hip hop songs.
DiCaprio and Ceretti have been dating since August, when they were spotted together in Santa Barbara, California. They have since traveled to Ibiza, Milan and Paris, where they enjoyed romantic dinners and museum visits. The couple also attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala last week, where they posed with British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful.
DiCaprio’s birthday celebration came after the release of his latest film, Killers of the Flower Moon, which premiered in theaters on Oct. 20. The film, directed by Martin Scorsese, tells the true story of the Osage murders, a series of killings of members of the Osage Nation in Oklahoma in the 1920s. DiCaprio plays Ernest Burkhart, who conspired with his uncle, played by Robert De Niro, to murder his wife’s family and inherit their oil wealth.
