There’s something rotten in Davenport. The position of city administrator is to carry out policies and budgets of the city council.
Our city administrator is paid quite handsomely to supervise every city employee including building code inspectors as well as their inspections.
Now the city administrator is fleeing town with a $1.6-million booty of our tax dollars ahead of potential lawsuit settlements over her (alleged) failure to properly supervise employees under her control. There’s something rotten in Davenport.
