Bellas Nails and Beauty on 13 Lowther Street in Kendal received the regional title at the annual England Business Awards, which took place in Carlisle on the evening of Sunday, October 8.
The awards celebrate regional excellence with the most recent ceremony bringing together the best business owners throughout the county.
Winners of the England Business Awards are nominated and voted upon by members of the public.
Amy Butler was born and raised in Kendal and built her business single-handedly eight years ago.
She said: “I wasn’t expecting to win it again. I’m really proud as it shows that all the hard work pays off. I still can’t believe it.”

The business, which offers beauty therapy and nail art services, has been able to expand in the last couple of years after her sister Megan Butler joined the team.
Amy said: “It has been a journey and it has gone from strength to strength. We have a very good loyal clientele, and we have been doing really well.
“When I finished school I didn’t know what to do so I went into doing nails and beauty at college it wasn’t something that I actually wanted to do, but as soon as I applied for the course I knew that I wanted to have my salon.
“I started Bellas when I was 20 years old and when I got into it I didn’t really know how it was going to go but it has worked for the best – being at Bellas it is like my second home.”
A number of Cumbria businesses received awards, however a full list has not been yet published.
