What do women want to wear? You might assume this question is at the heart of London Fashion Week but it often feels secondary to high concept and Insta-moments.
But at Tove, a label only in its second season on the fashion week schedule, two female designers are answering it with laid-back elegance.
Camille Perry and Holly Wright’s spring 2024 collection at the Hayward Gallery was so well judged that their models might have strode straight off the catwalk to join the crowd on the Southbank below. Relaxed, timeless tailoring, draped and ruched midi dresses, wrapped tops worn with straight leg jeans — it all came as a palette cleanser.
