Tony Stewart‘s wife uploaded a story on her Instagram on January 8, 2025, as she shared an update about her recovery after the pregnancy. Stewart and Leah Pruett were blessed with a baby boy in late 2024 as the former NASCAR team owner’s wife uploaded a picture of herself in the gym as she prepared to get back to the racing world.
Leah Pruett uploaded a mirror selfie as she posted an update about her health status and shared the positive and negative effects of the training on her body since the birth of her son Dominic. Tony Stewart’s wife wore a black sports bra layered with a tank top and paired it with training tights in the picture. The caption of the story read:
“Positive: My knees feel soo much better after dropping 35lbs. Negative: None. My body did an amazing thing growing Dom and giving birth. Lost my good booty tho and abs are weak, but working on that.”
Tony Stewart’s wife later shared a picture on her Instagram from her home which included members from four generations of the Pruett family. It included Leah Pruett herself, her mother Linda Pruett, her grandmother, and her son Dominic. Pruett’s dog Cash also made an appearance in the picture as the caption read:
“4 gens in the house”
Tony Stewart is a former NASCAR driver and team owner, who recently sold his Cup Series team Stewart-Haas Racing. His wife Leah Pruett is a professional drag racing driver who participates in the NHRA events. Stewart stepped in for his wife in the Top Fuel Dragster category as Pruett got pregnant with their son.

Tony Stewart’s son was born on November 17, 2024, at 04:43 am. It happened to be the same day as the race day of the NHRA World Finals, held from 14-17 November. The former NASCAR and IndyCar champion, who was participating in the NHRA finals, flew from the track to witness the birth of his son and support Leah Pruett, and flew back to attend the eliminators.
Pruett uploaded a post about the same on her Instagram on November 19, which read:
“Eventful World Finals wknd for the Stewart Household to say the least. At 4:43am Raceday morning we welcomed our baby boy Dominic James Stewart (Dom) into this world!”
“My hope was to have our baby in a time frame that Tony could be there for, (not before or after), AND for the Top Fuel team to get both runs in. Ultimately it’s was God’s will of how it all went down, and we couldn’t be more grateful,” she added.
Tony Stewart’s wife plans on getting back to the drag racing world in the future but suggested that 2025 is not going to be the year of her return.
