M. Bison bares booty in Terminator homage from Street Fighter 6 story mode

The talk of the town today is M. Bison as the evil dictator has officially made his way onto the Street Fighter 6 roster and into the game’s World Tour Mode.

As always, encountering and interacting with the character in the single player adventure will grant users access to story snippets, and Bison’s appears to include a bit of an homage to the classic Terminator films. Below we have a quick video put out by Gamer’s Prey that allows us to watch said story without actually playing through World Tour.

It’s been a long time since we’ve gotten a good Terminator film, but those of us who remember the first franchise entry will quickly recognize some overlap in the latest SF6 story expansion.

An amnesiac Bison awakens naked in a city alley that’s both reminiscent of the Metro City Downtown stage as well as the alley wherein we first meet Terminator co-protagonist Kyle Reese as he portals in from the future, also naked.

The opening of the 1984 film simultaneously sees the iconic Arnold Schwarzenegger T-800 port in next to LA’s Griffith Observatory and march up to a few thugs (rest in peace, Bill Paxton) and we similarly see Bison greeted by a trio of taunters, one of which is clearly J from Final Fight.

Before taking the group to task and showing off his strength, Bison stands up and poses just as Arnold does after arriving. One has to wonder if this homage is just a fun one off or if Bison’s latest story arc will be further themed with the Terminator.

With as much mystery still surround the long-time Street Fighter villain’s latest appearance, we wouldn’t be too quick to take the idea that he’s actually a Terminator-like robot covered with human flesh with Bison’s conscious somehow uploaded, but developers have already commented on what body Bison is currently in.

You can view the full story mode sequence, which goes on for another few minutes as Bison has an interesting reunion with Juri, and let us know what you think of SF6’s latest DLC character thus far in the comments.

Curiously enough, another AAA fighting game is rumored to be getting more overt Terminator content soon. With all the AI business going around right now, Skynet very well may be pulling some strings.
