Mac Miller Fans Unhappy With Antonio Brown Over Photo Of His Mom

Mac Miller fans have voiced their frustration with former Pittsburgh Steelers star Antonio Brown after he posted a photo online featuring the late rapper’s mother.

AB took to Twitter on Tuesday (October 3) to share a photo of Mac’s ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande rocking his Steelers #84 jersey in what looks like a stadium bathroom.

Mac’s mother, Karen Meyers, can be seen taking the selfie and also wearing a Steelers jersey.

“I had baddies at the game before the announcements…….. Arianators,” AB captioned the photo.

Brown’s attempt at flexing backfired, though, as his post drew the ire of Mac Miller’s fanbase, who felt it was in poor taste due to its inclusion of the late rapper’s mom.

“Nah you foul for this fam. This Macs mom,” one angry fan wrote in the replies, while another added: “Don’t disrespect Mac.”

Someone else wrote: “If it wasn’t for Mac’s mom in the photo I’d agree, this an L unfortunately.”

Even Mac’s close friend and co-manager, Quentin Cuff, called on Brown to delete the photo by replying with: “Ay bro take this down that’s Mac momma bro.” (Cuff’s tweet has since been deleted.)

Antonio Brown hasn’t suited up for the Steelers since the 2018 season. He was a star wide receiver on Miller’s hometown team throughout the rapper’s high-profile relationship with Ariana Grande from 2016 to 2018.

Mac tragically passed away later that year in the months after his split from the pop star. His death was ruled an accidental drug overdose due to a toxic mix of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.

Mac Miller’s close friend and collaborator, Thundercat, spoke to VIBE last month about the Most Dope lyricist on the fifth anniversary of his passing.

“Mac changed my life, man, and he was one of my best friends,” he said. “And the funny thing is, sometimes we throw the term ‘best friends’ around and stuff like that, but every day, I think about him. And I always remember how he affected my life in a major way. And I just know he’s always there with me and I keep that in my heart.

“I mean, the Mac that I knew and the way he had room for everybody and the way he made room, I think the world is making room for Mac now.”

He continued: “And it’s beautiful to watch. To me, he was always genius, like I could see it [laughs]. He was too cool. Got the baddest girl on the planet, but it was smooth. From that to creatively [being] a powerhouse. That and all the above and taking it all in stride.

“He was too cool, man. I would say he was a one-man Rat Pack, you know. And yeah, it is bittersweet, but it’s an overall joy to know that he left his mark.”
