It’s shaping up to be a star-studded evening.
The Council of Fashion Designers of America has revealed its presenters at the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion. The awards take place Monday at the American Museum of Natural History.
Mary J. Blige will introduce a special hip-hop tribute film by legendary music video director Hype Williams and made possible by New Era.
Demi Moore will present Goop with the Innovation Award presented by Amazon Fashion, which will be accepted by founder Gwyneth Paltrow.
Anne Hathaway, the evening’s host, will present the evening’s American Womenswear Designer of the year Award with Narciso Rodriguez.
The American Accessory Designer of the year will be given out by Ayo Edebiri, an actress, comedian and writer, and Prabal Gurung.
Actor Charles Melton and Zac Posen will present the Shop with Google American Emerging Designer of the Year award.
Laura Linney will be on hand to present Maria Cornejo with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement award.
Naomi Watts will present Alina Cho with the Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard.
Actress Greta Lee will give the International Designer of the Year Award to Jonathan Anderson.
Presenters haven’t been revealed yet for several awards, namely the Fashion Icon award, which is going to Serena Williams, the Board of Directors tribute, which will be awarded to Vera Wang, The Founder’s Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert that will be presented to Domenico De Sole, and the American Menswear Designer of the Year.
As reported, the nominees for American Womenswear Designer of the Year are Joseph Altuzarra for Altuzarra, Christopher John Rogers, Catherine Holstein for Khaite, Raul Lopez for Luar and Tory Burch.
The American Menswear Designer of the Year nominees are Mike Amiri for Amiri, Willy Chavarria, Colm Dillane for KidSuper, Teddy von Ranson for Teddy Vonranson, and Thom Browne for Thom Browne New York.
For American Accessory Designer of the Year, the nominees are Ana Khouri, Brandon Blackwood, Stuart Vevers for Coach, Raul Lopez for Luar, and Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen for The Row.
In the category of Shop with Google American Emerging Designer of the Year, nominees are Bach Mai, Connor McKnight, Rachel Scott for Diotima, Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell for Tanner Fletcher, and Carly Mark for Puppets and Puppets.
