
Mr. David Patrick Hanks, 60, of Prosperity, SC, affectionately known as “Booty”, husband of thirty-two years to Kelley Jean Cushing Hanks, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
A resident of the area most of his life, he was a son of the late Donald C. Hanks and the late Frankie James (Darrell) Bramlett. A graduate of North Augusta High School. David also attended Aiken Technical College and worked as an Electrician for over 30 years. David and Kelley relocated to Prosperity, SC, ten years ago.
David enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, playing billiards, grilling with his family and friends, and drinking a nice cold beverage. He was a DAWG fan and enjoyed talking smack about the Falcons. More than anything, however, he enjoyed being with his family, especially his granddaughters, Pollyann and Karla Padgett.
David’s other survivors are his daughters, Amber Hanks and Taylor (Zachary Padgett) Hanks, a brother, Wayne Hanks, and a nephew, Spencer Hanks, as well as other family members and countless friends.
The family will greet friends on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 1 o’clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. At 2 o’clock, friends are invited to share stories and memories of David.
