Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 22) — NCT 127 delighted its Filipino fans with a night of explosive performances during the K-pop group’s “NEO CITY: THE UNITY” concert on Jan. 21.
The heat did not stop NCTzens, the group’s fandom name, thousands of whom flocked to the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan. And when the clock struck 6:30 p.m., the energy started and never died down.
NCT 127 opened the show with some of the group’s songs like “Punch,” “Superhuman,” “Ay-yo,” “Timelapse,” and “Skyscraper.”
During their introduction, the members expressed how thankful and how much they missed their Filipino fans. They last visited the country in 2022 for their “NEO CITY : THE LINK” tour.
That was was followed by the group performing their tracks like “Parade,” “DJ,” and “Yacht.”
NCT 127 then burned the stage with “Fire Truck,” “Sit down,” “Chain,” and “Cherry Bomb.”
Fans also got to personally experience the members’ powerful vocals with tracks “Gold Dust,” “Fly Away With Me,” “White Lie,” and “Love is a beauty.”
NCT 127 and NCTzens then went wild with hit tracks “Kick It,” “2 Baddies,” and “Fact Check.”
Before ending the concert, the members again expressed their appreciation for their fans.
“Thank you for sharing this wonderful moment with us under this beautiful moon,” sub-rapper Johnny said, then mentioning member Moon Tae-Il who was unable to join the group following an accident.
Main rapper Mark said he hopes to hold a two-day concert once they are back in the Philippines.
The group ended the night with “Angel Eyes,” “Be There For Me,” and “Promise You,” as well as a promise to be back for their Filipino fans.
