Early Sunday evening, Net-a-porter took over Raf’s, a fashion-favorite just north of Houston Street, to celebrate fashion week alongside many of the retailer’s brand partners and friends.
The intimate venue was packed with designers including Jennifer Fisher, Fernando Garcia, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Aurora James, Jonathan Simkhai, Gigi Burris, Wes Gordon, Christopher John Rogers, as well as actors and models like “And Just Like That” stars Sarita Choudhury, Cathy Ang, Lucy Hale, Tallulah Willis — who walked for Collina Strada the day before — Clara McGregor and Zoe Lister-Jones. Guests traded stories and synced up schedules for the remaining days. Stylist Selena Gindi Khaite noted that she was looking forward to Carolina Herrera on Tuesday, and called out Khaite as a highlight from the first half of the week. “They know what you want to wear. They elevate the simplicity, and they just know how to do it,” she said.
A Net-a-porter-branded gelato cart was stationed outside, handing out scoops as guests headed out to their next event. “Are you the umbrella escort?” asked one woman of the suited man standing with an umbrella in hand next to one of the parked black SUVs. (He wasn’t.)
Even though party was officially over, the festivities were lingering on inside of Raf’s.
“What up boo,” enthused Tiffany Haddish upon walking through the front doors, spotting Net-a-porter interim CEO Alison Loehnis. The comedian had arrived at the party straight from landing at JFK, but was camera-ready in a bright orange strappy dress. The pair shared a private toast — during fashion week, there’s no time like the present to get the party started.
