Prime Video’s It Girl Brunch Gave Pam Grier— and Her Legacy of Baddies—Their Well-Deserved Flowers

Pam Grier has been long beloved for her style, charisma and fierceness. Fortunately for us, her presence in Hollywood birthed generations of other Black women to follow and be just as unapologetic.

On Tuesday, April 23rd, Prime Video’s It Girl Brunch celebrated the premiere of Them: The Scare while paying homage to the “OG It Girl” Pam Grier, who co-stars in the show. Black women from across varying sectors of the entertainment industry showed up to pour love into Grier while being simultaneously affirmed in their own greatness. Guests in attendance included Cree Summer, Bianca Lawson, Meagan Good, Paige Hurd, Raven-Symoné and wife Miranda Maday, Jennifer Freeman, Golden Brooks, Yaya DaCosta, Toccara Jones, Tamala Jones, Estelle, Jackie Aina, Sylvia Obell, Paula Patton, Shanice, Freda and Scherrie Payne, and so many more.

EBONY was proud to be a media partner of the It Girl Brunch as this sacred convening of Black sisterhood gave Grier well-deserved flowers. She first graced the brand’s cover in June 1976 and looked just as effervescent as she did back in the day. Making this occasion even more momentous, this year marks the 50th anniversary of Grier’s infamous role of Foxy Brown in the film of the same name.

Them: The Scare is available now to stream on Prime Video.
