Despite Redfall’s rocky launch and its lack of players, Arkane Studios isn’t giving up on the vampire co-op shooter just yet. This past Friday, the team rolled out a big update that introduced new player actions, new open-world encounters, and a slew of performance and stability improvements.
Players who like to get up close and personal with the town’s vampire baddies with the addition of stealth takedowns. They can now take out the fanged menaces in one move using any of the unique stake weapons currently available in the game. It’s a nice addition to the game especially since more vampires will now be roaming the open world in addition to the newly added enemy encounters.
Additionally, the team has also improved the game’s stability and performance on PC for a wide range of hardware configurations.
Whether the latest updates will be enough to lure players back is anyone’s guess. Who knows? It might even turn out to be the next No Man’s Sky or Cyberpunk 2077, although the community isn’t exactly optimistic.
The full patch notes await your reading pleasure on the Redfall Steam page.
