Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.
We are currently seeking an Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager as part of our dynamic team in New Jersey.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
This key member of the Finance Department will support in collection, preparation and reviewing of financial information during month and year-end closing process while meeting all deadlines. The Senior Accountant will be a key partner in reviewing, monitoring and managing accurate reporting of financials (actuals and accruals) according to Kering and IFRS guidelines as well as ensuring successful achievement of internal controls and external audit compliance.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Support Saint Laurent Americas including but not limited to: USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Panama Dominican Republic, Colombia
- Oversee, develop and coach team of accountants for the America’s Region
- Co-lead closely with Brand Accounting Manager, Kering Shared Service, external BPOs and the Finance team during the monthly and year-end closing
- Oversee integration and review of local Trial Balances into the ERP system
- Responsible for the preparation of Margin Files
- Monthly preparation and review of direct reports’ recurring and not recurring Journal entries
- Monthly Closing Package for Controlling Group with focus on Balance Sheet & Cash Flow elements to ensure proper presentation according to IFRS guidelines
- Preparation of files for quarterly and year-end tax provisions for Kering Tax Department
- Support Accounting Manager in meetings with department heads to go over financial results to ensure proper coding of expenses in accordance with IRFS, and budget guidelines
- Analyze financial activity throughout the month and processes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Supports Accounting Manager in partnering with Kering Shared Service units and external BPOs to ensure accuracy and efficiency of processes
- Maintain a clean Trial Balance by reviewing accounts with direct reports, ensuring completion of balance sheet recs for all business units
- Review of soft close and concur activities for proper coding of expenses in accordance with IFRS and internal budget guidelines
- Daily approve of invoices in Invoice approval tools for the Americas Region
- Daily approve of inventory stock adjustments and AR adjustments in Share Point for Americas Region
- Prepare monthly variable rent calculation for posterior payment to landlord
- Ensure all lease-required templates are up to date in accordance with IFRS and Kering guidelines and work with Kering Lease Accounting team to ensure timely payment and reconciliation of lease related costs.
- Straight Line Rent schedule for Operating Leases
- IFRS 16 compliance and platform maintenance for Financial leases
- Variable Rent Schedule
- Supports Accounting Manager in the compilation and timely preparation and review of the Annual Tax declaration for Canada and Latam Business units while partnering with Kering Shared Service Tax Department/external BPOs
- Assist management in the compilation and preparation of support for annual external audit as well Group Internal audits
- Support management on ad hoc analyses and special projects
- Aid the Controller in the monitoring of internal control compliance, SOPs, etc
- Support in preparation of Additional disclosures in consolidation tool
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelors Accounting; CPA or MBA a plus
- 6+ years accounting role experience with managerial experience in scope; Retail experience a plus
- Understanding of accounting principles and procedures, IFRS
- Advanced technical skills (not limited to Excel, Pivot Tables, V Lookup, SUMIFS)

- System savvy and self-motivated to learn new technology and participate in new projects; Lawson, SAP, HFM, experience a plus
- Bilingual English, Spanish, Portuguese a plus
- In-Office 4 days per week out of Wayne, NJ
- Ability to travel to NY Office, as needed
