Simone Biles Scores More Gold — This Time in the Form of a Chrome-Finish French Manicure

Simone Biles is nailing it on and off the mat.

The gymnast, 27, posted a photo on Instagram Stories that showed off her latest manicure, a fun take on the chrome nail trend.

In a mirror selfie shared on Sept. 17, Biles holds up her phone (featuring a case decorated with a bedazzled “Biles”), giving fans a close-up look at her new blonde highlights as well as her almond-shaped pink French tips. The manicure also has a shimmery chrome top coat, creating an eye-catching metallic finish.

While chrome manicures have been around for years, the nail trend had a resurgence when Hailey Bieber‘s “glazed donut nails” went viral. The model and Rhode founder first sparked the craze at the 2022 Met Gala, where the she wore a cream-colored Saint Laurent silk gown and white feather cape.

Bieber’s nail artist Zola Ganzorigt, has since created several versions of the trend, including chocolate glazed nails and neon yellow chrome.

Also in the frame of Biles’ selfie is her matching pink-brimmed hat and iconic goat necklace. The sparkling 3D piece, which refers to her being called the G.O.A.T. (or Greatest of All Time) of gymnastics, was created by Janet Heller Fine Jewelry and features a whopping 546 diamonds.

Biles debuted the necklace after winning the all-around final at the 2024 Paris Olympics, holding it up to show cameras.

After the competition, she spoke about the custom jewelry.

“My goat necklace, is just kind of an ode, because the people love it and then some people hate it, so it’s like the best of both worlds. And I was like, okay, if it goes well, I’ll wear the goat necklace, I know people will go crazy over it,” Biles told reporters, including PEOPLE, in a press conference. “But at the end of the day, it is crazy that I’m in the conversation of greatest of all time athletes, because I still think I’m Simone Biles from Spring, Texas, that loves to flip.”

Following the Paris Olympics (where she took home three gold medals and one silver medal) Biles underwent a long hair transformation. A few weeks later, she debuted blonde highlights before embarking on the Gold Over America Tour.

“I did a thing,” she captioned a selfie showing off the fresh color.
