Skims gets a Swarovski makeover with new collaboration

Skims, Kim Kardashian’s intimates and shapewear label, has just launched its most glamorous collection yet, a collaboration with Swarovski. The two brands have come together to create a seriously glitzy take on underwear, body jewellery and ready-to-wear, and it’s shoppable from tomorrow.

“For this collaboration, we really wanted to celebrate individual creativity and bring more glamour into getting dressed every day,” Kardashian said. “The pieces are so dreamy, and we loved integrating the iconic crystal cuts into my favourite Skims pieces. We can’t wait for everyone to love Swarovski x Skims as much as I do.”

The collection is made up of shimmering body jewellery, as well as underwear and ready-to-wear from the Skims’ main line, which has been given a Swarovski makeover. Knickers, bras, skirts, dresses and bodysuits have been embellished with crystals, injecting some serious glamour into the comfort that Skims has become so well known for.

“It’s been a dream since I joined Swarovski to create a first-ever collaboration with Skims that furthers the art of self-expression,” Giovanna Engelbert – who took over as Swarovski creative director in 2020 – said. “Our collection is a celebration of the body, and of strong, independent women who value their individuality and embrace life with confidence and style.”

Both brands are frequent collaborators with others in the industry. Skims previously teamed up with Fendi, and is now a partner of the NBA. Meanwhile, through the Swarovski Creators Lab, the jewellery label has teamed up with everyone from Amina Muaddi to Nike.

The Skims x Swarovski collection will be available to shop from Tuesday 7 November at Skims and Swarovski stores and online, as well as at Selfridges in London, where there will be a dedicated pop-up celebrating the collaboration. Head here to find out more.
