Tara fashion show raises funds for PACE Center for Girls

After seeing 21 outfits in Tara Golf and Country Club’s Fall Fashion Show, East County’s Susan Franklin was ready to shop at Darci, a boutique on Main Street in Sarasota.

“It was all beautiful,” Franklin said of the clothing at the fashion show, which Darci provided. “I want everything.”

“In her mind, she just spent $1,000,” said Tara’s Barbara DiPalma, who is Franklin’s sister.

Tara Golf and Country Club’s Fall Fashion Show Nov. 6 raised $1,200 for PACE Center for Girls.

Amy Wick Mavis, the executive director of PACE Center for Girls, said the nonprofit was appreciative of the funds.

“It’s women empowering women,” Wick Mavis said. “That’s what we’re all about.”
