Taylor Ann Green and Shep Rose may be broken up, but both Charleston residents are struggling to fully stay away from another — and not just because they belong to the same friend group.
As Taylor and Shep explained during Southern Charm Season 9, Episode 11 on November 30, there are still lingering feelings between the two of them. See what they had to say about their dynamic and find out how Taylor acted on her feelings (as well as how it involved Austen Kroll) by scrolling below.
Taylor Ann Green’s “Booty Call” Texts to Shep Rose
Both Shep and Taylor spoke about the latter cast member’s “booty call” attempt. Taylor’s explanation came during a conversation with Leva Bonaparte, but first, she said, “There’s just a lot of emotions going on with Shep and I. We shared a kiss in the mountains, we passed out in the same bed … But, I know him. I’m comfortable with him. It’s easy.”
Fast-forward to the previous weekend, when Shep, Austen, and some of the other Southern Charm men were enjoying a boys’ dinner at Patricia Altschul‘s house. That night, Taylor recalled, “I texted Austen and Shep, ‘What are you guys doing after Ms. Pat’s dinner?’ and I’m texting Shep, I was like, ‘Are you coming? Where are you?’ I guess we can call it a booty call text.”
Taylor then reflected on the decision to send said text in a confessional interview. “Look, I’m not sorry about it, because booty calling someone that I was so in love with is not a mistake in my book,” she said. “But in this case, I tried and it didn’t work out.”
Back in conversation with Leva, Taylor added, “[Shep] was like, ‘I’m headed back home,’ and then I was like, ‘Fine, alright, we’re gonna stay out and hang out with Austen.’ Like, f you. I was being petty.”
Shep Rose’s Reaction to Taylor Ann Green’s “Booty Call” Texts
Shep, for his part, recapped what went down by speaking to Jarrett “JT” Thomas. As he put it, “Taylor tried to make me jealous after the guys’ dinner night at Patricia’s by texting me.”
“The text from Taylor was a shock, to say the least,” he added in a confessional. “I don’t know what she’s trying to do.”
JT, however, placed some of the blame on Shep himself, noting in a confessional, “Shep does care about Taylor, but I do think his presence is causing complications for her.”
Shep didn’t entirely disagree. “You’re right,” he told JT. “It’s f-cking her head up. Maybe I should just leave her alone.”
Austen Kroll’s Reaction to Taylor Ann Green Texting Him and Shep Rose
Taylor, it turned out, didn’t just text Shep. As Austen revealed during a therapy appointment, “I’m at this dinner party with the guys in my life and Taylor is texting both me and Shep just like, ‘Hey, are you guys done with that dinner? Let’s meet up.’ You know, ‘What are y’all doing?’ I was like, ‘Hey, I’m headed here with Whitney [Sudler-Smith],’ and she met us there. And then she proceeded to attempt to make Shep jealous via me.”
“And I’m like, What are you doing?!'” Austen added. “And what did I just get myself into? Things are already tense between Shep and I. Like, she did not have to use me in that sense.”
As for why he thought it was okay to invite Taylor in the first place, he concluded, “The reason that I thought it was fine to hang out with her is ’cause I was with Whitney and we were meeting up with other people and it was a group setting. Nothing happened, but I should’ve been like, okay Austen, maybe don’t respond — boundaries.”
