The Duchess of Sussex is a big fan of neutrals – and last night she proved that they work for the red carpet too. The royal attended the Variety Power of Women event in Los Angeles, where she rubbed shoulders with the likes of Dua Lipa and Margot Robbie, and looked every inch the Hollywood star in a nude Proenza Schouler gown.
Meghan posed on the red carpet in the chic and elegant design, which was from the New York label’s resort 2024 collection. It features an asymmetric off-the-shoulder detail and several slits up the hem, revealing white details underneath. The Rosa dress, as it is called, also comes in a shorter style in black and white crepe, as well as in a nude leather, which you can purchase here.
Keeping the look pared back, Meghan slicked her hair into a centre-parted bun and wore a very low-key beauty look, nailing the trend for no make-up make-up.
The Power of Women event is a celebration of women in the arts, and this year honoured the likes of Carey Mulligan, Lily Gladstone and Billie Eilish. While speaking at the event, Meghan said she was “really proud” of the work she and husband Harry were doing with their organisation Archewell, and teased that there were lots of exciting projects on the horizon.
“I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating. My husband is loving it too, which is really fun,” she said.
Meghan also spoke about how pleased she was to be in the room with so many inspirational women, saying: “I think the more we support each other it just amplifies the work, amplifies our community and I’m just thrilled to be back in it and to be able to sit in this room and be in such good company tonight.”
