Trina Will Soon Unveil Her Life Story in a New Autobiography; Here’s What We’re Looking Forward To Reading

As hip-hop autobiographies continue to be prevalent musical artifacts, rapper Trina is gearing up to unveil hers.

The “Diamond Princess” will unveil “Da Baddest” on October 8th through Simon & Schuster.  Co-written by prolific writer Sesali Bowen, this highly anticipated book promises to be as bold, unfiltered, and captivating as Trina’s 20+ year career.  Her unapologetic lyrics in timeless hits such as “Da Baddiest B***h” and “Pull Over” have inspired fans and female hip-hop artists, especially those in the South.  As readers eagerly anticipate the release of her life story, there are several key points we hope Trina touches on in her book.

The life of her mother, Vernessa Taylor

Trina has been vocal about the role her mother, Vernessa Taylor played in her life and hustler mentality.  Before her tragic passing in 2019 from cancer, she was involved in real estate, which Trina learned from her at an early age.

The challenges of being the only woman signed to Slip-N-Slide Records

Trina’s impact on the Southern rap scene cannot be overstated.  In her early career, she was signed to Trick Daddy’s Slip-N-Slide imprint, leading to several timeless collaborations between the two. Getting Trina’s insight on being the only woman on a male-dominated label will surely be a key element of “Da Baddest.”

Career struggles

While Trina has spoken chiefly highly of her career, behind the glitz and glamor, every female artist has faced challenges in the industry.  Trina is notably one of the most adored among her peers.  Therefore, it’ll be interesting to learn about the most complex times she endured as an artist, precisely the time between her 2010 studio album “Amazin’” and her 2019 project, “The One,” which was marked by conflict.

Relationship insight

Trina has found herself in high-profile relationships with several famous figures, including professional basketball player Kenyon Martin and rappers Lil Wayne and French Montana.  Even after the breakups, Trina has kept many critical elements of those splits private, speaking mostly positively of her exes.  Now married, it’ll be fascinating to see if she takes a trip down memory lane.

Trina’s autobiography promises to be a compelling read, offering a candid look at the life of a woman who has defied the odds to become a rap legend, selling millions of albums worldwide.
