A villa at Mount Nicholson on the Peak was burgled early this morning and items worth around HK$450,000 were stolen.
Police received a report at around 4:30 am that a 60-year-old homeowner found two male burglars sneaking into his house and stealing stuff.
The stolen items are believed to include a necklace, five luxury handbags, a Buddha statue, a flower vase, and a set of cutlery, which are worth around HK$450,000.
The suspects had already fled when the police arrived at the scene.
According to surveillance footage, the thieves were wearing black clothing and balaclavas. The case is under further investigation by the officers of the District Investigation Team of Wan Chai.
