MSCHF is launching the new ‘Global Supply Chain Telephone Handbag,’ which effectively ‘protoganizes’ the creative labor of fashion factories. Modeled after iconic silhouettes, including the Hermès Birkin, Celine Luggage bag, Dior Saddle Bag, and Balenciaga Hourglass, this piece adopts a warped aesthetic that displays the work of various European and Asian designers.
The concept arose during the production of MSCHF’s BWD Shoe, which faced alterations by factories assuming designer errors. This led the team to ponder the outcome of the entire design process if it was left to the factories themselves.
Interested consumers can purchase the ‘Global Supply Chain Telephone Handbag’ when it launches on February 21 for $650 USD. The bag will arrive in four colorways, including black, blue, baby pink, and orange.
