Ten talented nail techs in Warrington made the shortlist for Best for Nails with Maisie Beck taking the coveted crown.
Maisie started her now award-winning business just over two years ago in March 2022 renting a chair in Hairshop Too in Latchford before moving to Luxe Salon on Fairfield Road in Stockton Heath in November last year.
She is a self-employed nail technician and makeup artist specialising in builder gel nails and advanced nail art as well as special occasion makeup.
Maisie, who lives in Grappenhall, said: “I love using builder gel as it encourages the natural nails to grow meaning my clients’ nails will grow to their desired length while still looking natural.
“I also love creating nail art, whether it’s a crazy colourful set or a simple sophisticated French tip.
“I decided to open my business because I’ve always wanted to work in the beauty industry.
“I’ve always loved art so painting nails and doing people’s makeup has been another form of art to me.
“After leaving school, I studied media makeup at Future Skills at Media City in Salford.
“After building up a client base with makeup, I then wanted to grow my business and start offering nail services.
“I studied with Future in Beauty and became qualified as a nail technician.
“I started my self-employed career straight away so have built my client base from scratch over the past two years.”
