Mamelodi Sundowns footballer Thembinkosi Lorch is in celebratory mode after his club won its seventh successive league title this season.
LORCH LIVING HIS BEST LIFE
To celebrate their victory, which is Lorch’s first league cup of his career, the midfielder was seen having the time of his life at a party in the presence of two women.
During an Instagram Live session, Lorch can be seen embracing two ladies as they dance to the music in the background. The trio appears to be under the influence of alcohol as they look into the camera, with the footballer hold either women on each side, at what looks like a house party.
BREAK-UP FROM NATASHA THAHANE
Lorch, also known as Nyoso, left Orlando Pirates in the January transfer window this year to join Masandawana. He is to face his former club in the Nedbank Cu final on Saturday, 1 June, at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga.
The footballer’s departure from The Sea Robbers was later followed by a break-up between him and actress Natasha Thahane – with whom he shares a two-year-old son.
In an Instagram post in February, the Blood & Water star revealed that she and the soccer player had amicably gone their separate ways.
“Thembinkosi Lorch and I have mutually decided to part ways romantically. Despite the change in our relationship, we will remain friends and co-parents. I am looking forward to this new chapter of my life. #NewBeginnings,” read Thahane’s post.
CRYPTIC POSTS ABOUT ABUSE
Shortly after her announcement, Thahane shared a short clip from United States (US) singer Rihanna, wherein she broke her silence about the night her ex-boyfriend and fellow musician, Chris Brown, physically abused her.
In the 2009 ABC News interview the actress shared, the Barbados-born songtress can be heard saying: “All I kept thinking all the time: When is it going to stop? When it is going to stop?”
While Thahane did not stated why she and the former Bucs star broke up, fans believed her cryptic post was a cry for help.
This was also fuelled by a screenshot of an interaction purportedly between Thahane and one of her followers on Instagram, Minenhle Dlamini, who asked, “ukushayile nawe?” which means “did he also hit you?”
Although there was no response to the question, the screenshot showed that the author of the original post liked the comment.
Days later, the former Skeem Saam actress shared another cryptic post saying: “I’m grateful I came out alive.”
Lorch currently has a suspended sentence hanging over his head for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Fundiswa Nokuphiwa Mathithibala, in 2020.
In November last year, the footballer was handed a three-year direct imprisonment sentence — which was suspended for five years.
