While spending over a decade trying to break into country music, when Lainey Wilson finally found her footing, it took her no time to find her way to the top of the genre. Just over the last few years, she released albums like Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’, Bell Bottom Country, and Whirlwind. With each album gaining more praise than the last, Wilson watched as the industry showered her with accolades. But recently, when celebrating her Country’s Cool Again Tour, the singer got Zach Top to shake his “Big Ol’ Booty” for the crowd.
Throughout her tour, Wilson made headlines as she toured the country, sharing more than music with fans. Always willing to meet her fans, the country singer helped one little girl even get a horse trailer. Producing more than a few memorable moments over the months, the singer ended her tour with one last show in her home state of Louisiana. Sharing the road together, Wilson and Top often joked about their “big booties.” Wilson once told the crowd, “He’s got a dump like a truck. Y’all started that hashtag about me. It’s really about Zach Top. You’ve been doing those squats.”
Since that moment, it has been a running theme at a Wilson concert and when ending her tour, she decided to bring it back. Welcoming Top to the stage to perform “Keeping Up With Jones”, Wilson recalled being shocked when they compared butts. “I was talking about our love for George Jones, and you’re gonna get up here and start talking about butts.”
Zach Top Not Afraid To Show It Off In Front Of Lainey Wilson
Wanting to get back at Top, Wilson decided to get the singer to shake it for the crowd. “Anyway. I’ve got a little surprise for y’all because lately, we don’t call him Zach Top; we call him Zach Bottom because he’s got a big ole booty, too.”
As the two singers performed the song, Wilson put the spotlight on Top as she insisted, “Get up there, Zach. Turn around.” Following directions, Top turned around, showing his butt to the crowd. And being a good sport, he started to sway from side to side.
Fans loved the hilarious moment with comments reading, “I feel like they’re the new Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.” Another person added, “Someone could tell me Zach Top is from 1995 and I wouldn’t even question it. Country music needed him so bad.”
