We never knew England nail art could look so cute, until we saw Tolami Benson’s mani

Despite keeping her relationship low-key with beloved Arsenal and England right winger Bukayo Saka, Tolami Benson couldn’t help capturing our attention while supporting her boyfriend from the Euro 2024 stands.

The 23-year old, who graduated from Birmingham City University with a degree in public relations and now works full time as a senior planning executive, has been quietly dropping all the fashion and beauty inspo we need (and she’s subtly woven in a nod to her partner to cheer him on in her own way).

First came the custom leather biker jacket that referenced the three lion’s red, white and blue colours, while the number 87 emblazoned on the chest paid tribute to Saka’s past shirt number (87) and his current (7).

Then we spotted the most adorable little nod to her bae’s team with a tiny detail sketched on her mani. In the third slide of a photo dump posted to her Instagram, Tolami shared a close-up of her nails – which featured a classic French tip that she then upgraded with a tiny red cross to capture the England flag. We never knew England nail art could look so cute, but having seen the elongated Almond England tips, we’re fully sold.

It helps that it’s fairly easy to recreate yourself, especially if you’ve already mastered a classic Frenchie. Simply apply a sheer-pink base coat, like OPI Put It In Neutral, then use a slim nail art brush to paint a white French tip along the top using a white polish like Essie Blanc. Finally, take the same clean nail brush to add a straight line down the centre of the white tip with a true red like Essie Laquered Up, then cross a line through the centre, bending it so that it follows the same shape as the French tip.
