The Oklahoma transfer gathered some middling stats after successfully transitioning his gifts to the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks. In his first two games, General had some good plays and was an able game manager. While the team’s run game was sufficient to crush their opponents, it’s apparent that Booty can use his arm whenever required.

However, when it comes to the current ULM sensation, General Booty, it is even more surprising, as it is neither his nickname nor what he was born with. Yes, you heard it right!

The University of Louisiana-Monroe quarterback’s pen and paper name would have been Maximus Axel Booty if his father hadn’t been fascinated by the military. Despite being a Louisiana State Wide Receiver by profession, Abram had his heart and soul devoted to the men in the uniforms. Hence, the Shreveport native has decided to use ‘general’ in the name if he ever had a son. Mother Amy Booty, an LSU alumna, happily agreed to the wish. Although his parents tried to call him by his middle name initially, the child only responded to General. The overwhelming Bootys’ took it as a sign of his consent and carried it forward.

Little did they know that the name would stand out not just in the limited periphery of college football but in the entire nation. Can the 22-year-old put more value on his unique nametag, pulling in more records for the Warhawks? Saturday will extend a grand chance.
