Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has hit the headlines for settling a $30 million lawsuit with his ex-girlfriend Cassie who accused him of rape and physical abuse.
The rapper found fame when he rose through the hip-hop ranks from the streets of Harlem to the head of Bad Boy records.
He was brought up by his mother, Janice Coombs, after his father was tragically killed in 1972.
Before pursuing a career in the music business, Diddy studied business administration at Howard University.
After providing a helping hand in launching the careers of many famous faces such as Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige, Diddy has gone on to have seven children.

Quincy Taylor Brown
Quincy Taylor Brown was welcomed into the world on June 4, 1991 in New York City.
He is the son of model, Kim Porter and record producer, Albert Joseph Brown III, aka Al B. Sure!.
He is the namesake of musical icon, Quincy Jones, who was also the mentor of his biological father Al.
His mother, Kim, began a relationship with hip-hop powerhouse, Sean Combs – also known as Diddy – when Quincy was three years of age. The rapper went onto adopt Brown in his teens.
His mother, Kim, passed away at the age of 47, on November 15, 2018.
Speaking about his late mother with People magazine in 2023, Quincy stressed how important it was for him to continue her legacy.
‘I’m my mum’s son, so therefore there’s so much life for me to expand on off of her life. And that journey hasn’t even started yet, which is the best part about it.
‘What my mum’s legacy is representative of is beyond words. That’s gonna really come to life soon.’
Quincy has directed music videos for the likes of singer Elle Winter, and has also appeared in front of the camera in shows such as – The Haves and The Haves Nots.
He has also starred in the Netflix show, The Holiday Calendar.
Previously describing himself as a ‘sponge’, the actor has also turned his hand to music, bagging a record deal with Epic and Bad Boy records and a BoohooMAN collaboration.
He released a cover of Al B Sure! single Nite and Day called I Can Tell You as well as a tune with rapper French Montana.
He is the manager of his two younger sisters – D’Lila and Jessie – and has starred in their Face Off music video in 2022.
Regarding his role in his younger siblings lives, Quincy told People: ‘We don’t need no contracts, no paper, but I’m my sisters’ manager.’
‘I’m like, the uncle-dad-manager-protector; I’m claiming it. I want to be able to really guide them. I want them to really know the layers of everything you can do.’
Justin Combs
Justin is Diddy’s eldest biological child, whom he shares with fashion designer Misa Hylton.
Born in New York on Dec. 30, 1993, the Bad Boy heir made his name on the MTV show – My Super Sweet 16 – with Nicki Minaj performing at his star-studded bash.
Justin studied at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), landing a bachelors in Sociology and a football scholarship.
He was the first person in his family to graduate from higher education.
In 2016, he posted a snap of himself and his parents to Instagram with the caption: ‘First Combs male to graduate from College.. All praise to God & my parents!’
Diddy’s son has also appeared in third season of Power Book II: Ghost and also interviewed many celebrities on his TV show – Respectfully Justin.
He was previously in a relationship with the Tap In rapper – Saweetie – and has also been linked with Bad Girls Club star – Kaila Winter Wilkey.
Christian Combs
Christian Combs is Diddy and Kim Porter’s first biological child and was born shortly after the pair began dating on April 1, 1998.
In his professional life, the musician goes by King Combs, launching his first project Cyncerely, C3 in 2019.
The performer had been combining different rap and R&B styles in a bid to find his own musical sound.
When queried about his career, Christian told People: ‘It’s really always been something I wanted to do
‘There have been times when my dad questioned me and asked, “What’s your plan B? Are you sure you want to do this?” and I’m like, “There is no plan B”.’
He revealed that the most meaningful lesson he learned from his music executive father was to persevere.
The rapper said: ‘I would say the biggest lesson is never stop. Can’t stop, won’t stop. That’s what it is.’
Similarly to his older siblings, Christian has also popped up on the small screen, starring in shows such as Making the Band, The Crew League and Wild ‘N Out.
Chance Combs
Chance is the daughter of Diddy and businesswoman Sarah Chapman.
Sarah and the rapper never went public with their romance, however the two were reportedly friends for years, according to People.
Diddy’s fourth child – born on July 20, 2006 – sparked a rift between himself and Kim, with the model breaking off their relationship after learning about Chance’s birth.
But the rapper’s eldest daughter has done her part for the community, partnering up with her two sisters – D’Lila and Jessie – to donate skincare and beauty to Alexandria House, an emergency shelter for women and children.
The youngster told People: ‘We know how truly blessed we are, and our parents have taught us the importance of helping others.
‘It’s something that we’ve made a goal for ourselves as we start to make our own decisions and find our paths as young women.’
In 2022, Diddy, couldn’t help but gush about his daughter and her aspirations during a brief with Laverne Cox, who hosted E!’s live red carpet show ahead of the Academy Awards.
‘I’m speechless — I am speechless. Baby, you look so beautiful, so beautiful,’ the proud dad told his daughter, adding, ‘Her name is Chance Combs. Chance, you tell her.’
Chance explained that she is an ‘aspiring actress,’ saying, ‘It’s my first time at the Oscars, so I am really excited to be here.’
She didn’t hesitate with her answer when Cox asked her which Hollywood star she hoped to work with one day.
‘Zendaya is one of my biggest inspirations, and someone that I really want to work with in the future,’ Chance said of the ‘Euphoria’ star.
D’Lila and Jessie Combs
D’Lila and Jessie, were welcomed into the world in December 2006.
The twins were born to Diddy and his on and off again girlfriend , Kim Porter, only five months after their sister Chance.
Although their parents were not close, D’Lila, Jessie and Chance have a tight-knit bond.
In September 2021, Diddy and his three daughters were spotting enjoying a whirlwind family vacation to Italy.
The youngsters and their father were seen enjoying a picturesque gondola ride along the famed canals of Venice.
On Mother’s Day 2023, the two girls posted a tribute to their late mother on Instagram, penning: ‘Happy Mothers Day, Mommy. We love you so much and you are always missed.
They added: ‘We think about you every day. Thank you for being the best mom anyone could ask for. Miss youuuu.’
D’Lila and Jessie honed in on their mother’s modelling talent, striking a pose with their sister, Chance in a 2023 V magazine feature.
Discussing their strong sibling bond, D’Lila told the publication: ‘We always have a support system in each other.
‘We are always supporting each other no matter what our goals are, what we want to do in the future.’
Love Combs
The hip-hop mogul shocked fans with the announcement of his seventh child Love, who was born on December 10, 2022.
He shares the toddler with Dana Tran, a model and cyber-security professional.
Announcing, the birth of his latest child on Twitter, Diddy said: ‘I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl Love Sean Combs to the world.
‘Mama Combs, Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie and myself all love you so much! God is the Greatest!’
The Bad Boy star revealed his baby girl’s first words on Instagram in June 2023, writing: ‘Breaking news! baby love has just said her first words. She said ! DA DA DA DA DA DA!!!!!’
