Mumbai-based hip-hop collective Wild Wild Women have just released their latest eponymous offering. The crew, consisting of rappers HashtagPreeti, MC Mahila, Pratika, JQueen and Krantinaari all contribute lyrically to the fiery number.

Produced by DRJ Beats, “Wild Wild Women” is a sonic journey weaving through the linguistic tapestry of India. With verses in Hindi, Marathi, English, Tamil, and Kannada, the multilingual approach reflects the diverse roots and influences of the collective.

The inception of Wild Wild Women dates back to late 2020 when Krantinaari and HashtagPreeti took the initiative to bring together a group of like-minded female artists. The collective has been founded on the principle of fostering collaboration among women in hip-hop. The group aspires to showcase the diversity within the Indian hip-hop community, encouraging more women to join forces and create a vibrant and sustainable community.

Beyond the beats and rhymes, Wild Wild Women is on a mission to extend its impact beyond music. The collective envisions a future where women in hip-hop are not just artists but collaborators across various disciplines—dancers, B-girls, graffiti artists, makeup artists, designers, social activists, and more. Their holistic approach aims to transcend musical boundaries and redefine the role of women in the hip-hop scene.

Wild Wild Women burst onto the scene with their debut single, “I Do It For Hip Hop,” a track that resonated powerfully that it found its way onto the Canadian TV series Run the Burbs, airing on both U.S. and Canadian television in March 2022.

Following their debut, Wild Wild Women continued their musical journey with releases like “Uddu Azad” and “Living Waves,” further solidifying their place in the hip-hop landscape. The collective’s commitment goes beyond the studio, as they simultaneously work on individual projects, collaborate on brand initiatives, and actively engage in real-life empowerment efforts through awareness campaigns and community involvement.

Their newest song promises to be a testament to their artistic evolution and a celebration of the collective’s mission to empower and inspire.
