TV makeover guru Suzanne Jackson is having a style evolution of her own.
As presenter of RTÉ reality series The Style Council, Ms Jackson harnesses her expertise to help people revamp their wardrobe and regain their confidence.
And the beauty entrepreneur and influencer appears to be enjoying a makeover of her own by splashing out on luxury designer bags and threads.
The Dancing With The Stars finalist was recently snapped debuting a new tan Hermès Kelly bag – inspired by style icon Princess Grace Kelly – on an outing at Dublin’s five-star Merrion Hotel.
Hermès handbags are considered one of the most aspirational haute couture accessories on planet fashion.
Ms Jackson’s Hermès Kelly handbag costs around €10,000, albeit depending on the country of sale and the time of purchase.
A bag from the French fashion house is considered one of fashion’s most coveted and desired items.
The Hermès handbag entered modern-day fashion after it was featured multiple times in Sex and the City. In one episode Kim Cattrall’s character Samantha goes to extreme lengths to get her hands on an Hermès Birkin bag.
‘It’s not so much the style, it’s what carrying it means,’ Samantha tells Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker. ‘When I’m tooling around town with that bag, I’ll know I’ve made it.’
And so, it appears, has Ms Jackson, whose SOSUEME range of products has earned her millions.
While the businesswoman and beauty blogger still shops at high street stores, her wardrobe has recently seen a marked shift towards designer buys.
As well as her Hermès Kelly bag, in recent months she has showcased a Chanel box bag, in addition to a white Chanel quilted classic handbag.
The boss of beauty brands such as Dripping Gold tan is also stepping out in the finest of footwear; last week she was seen sporting a pretty pair of two-tone Chanel ballet pumps.
Earlier this summer she announced she had decamped to Portugal with her husband Dylan O’Connor ‘for the foreseeable’. On one of her more glammed-up recent outings, Jackson wore a pair of black strappy YSL sandals, accessorised with her Chanel box bag.
She also took her Givenchy top handle tote bag for a twirl as she posted a video swinging it around for an Instagram moment.
The presenter can enjoy the high life thanks to her hugely successful business brands.
One of her companies, Sanfran Cosmetics, which Ms Jackson coowns with Sundrelle cosmetics businessman Fran O’Gorman, recorded an accumulated profit reserve of more than €6m.
Filings for another business, Cohar, posted an accumulated profit of more than €5m. But lest anyone think Jackson is squandering her hard-earned cash on bags and shoes, the canny entrepreneur understands that designer bags can be lucrative investments. Auction house Sotheby’s is currently auctioning a selection of Hermès Kelly bags – similar to the one Jackson was photographed with – for nearly double the original retail price, with some going for more than €20,000.
