Pepsi Max x The Notorious B.I.G

This Pepsi Max initiative showcases hip-hop culture’s importance and celebrates The Notorious B.I.G.’s everlasting impact on the music scene. The campaign will feature elements such as street art, limited-edition cans, and a virtual experience, providing fans with unique ways to connect with the artist’s art and talent.

Pepsi also created a video from an audio recording of a B.I.G. freestyle. The rap about his love of the beverage was recorded circa 1997. 

Pepsi’s Senior Director of Global Marketing, Gustavo Reyna, expressed the brand’s commitment to staying in touch with the pulse of culture and listening to music fans’ preferences. Reyna emphasized:

 “We are always keeping a finger on the pulse of culture while listening to music fans’ preferred choices, and in the lead up to this momentous cultural occasion, they told us they had Biggie on repeat.” Reyna continued his expression to say, “In celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, an art form that has touched every corner of the world and evolved into one of the most significant drivers of popular culture, Pepsi is honored to partner with The Notorious B.I.G. Estate to bring this unique encore of Biggie’s art and talent to a whole new generation of music fans in never-before-seen ways.”

Pepsi Max’s initiative joins a series of endeavors honoring The Notorious B.I.G.’s legacy. CJ Wallace, Biggie’s son, has partnered with Time Studios to produce a documentary that delves into the life and career of the iconic rapper. In addition, Air Jordan released a collection of sneakers titled “Christopher Wallace Air Jordan XIII” as a tribute to the late legend.
