Vibrancy Theatre put on Booty Candy last week. Booty Candy explores the theme of growing up as a black and queer person in America. The show is known for its comedy, while still highlighting the complexities of identity in black culture. An actress in Booty Candy says she loves the play becuase it spreads the message that you can’t separate being black and queer, and it should be celebrated.
