- Candace Cameron Bure dropped new Instagram photos this week where she’s working an 80s-inspired Barbie outfit, complete with a leotard and sheer tights.
- In the pics, the actress shows everyone a peek of her strong butt and legs.
- When it comes to her workouts, Candace has shared some of her go-to moves on social media.
In case you missed it, the Barbie movie came out this summer, and it had everyone freaking out over the iconic dolls, and hitting up theaters dressed in their best Barbie finery. Apparently, Candace Cameron Bure has Barbie fever, too, because she just posted the most amazing Instagram photoshoot with her Hallmark co-star Marilu Henner.
The shoot features the 47-year-old in an ‘80s-style workout outfit—a belted teal leotard layered over tights, leg warmers, and a pink bra—that shows off how all-over sculpted Candace is, from her booty to her legs and arms, as she clutches small weights. (Henner is also working an impressive pink vinyl onesie.)
“I’ve suddenly realized that @therealmarilu and I ‘Barbied’ before Barbie even ‘Barbied’ 💓💄🎀,” Candace joked in the caption. (Candace pointed out in the comments that she and Henner did the shoot in 2020 as part of their “quarantine shenanigans.”) People cheered her on in the comments. “You definitely Barbied better than Barbie,” one person wrote, while another said, “UR the real Barbie 💖💖💖.”
If you’re curious to know more about Candace’s health and wellness routines now that you’ve seen her fun workout outfits, you’re certainly not alone. Candace has been open about working hard to get super strong. Back in March, she shared a BTS video on Instagram of herself working out with trainer Kira Stokes.
TBH, The two look like they’re having the best time as they dance, do a squat, walk forward on mats, and lift alternating arms and legs in a plank position, all in sync. “@kirastokesfit has the best app,” Candace wrote in the caption. “Her method is how I’ve trained for the last 8 year[s]! It’s even more fun when we get to workout in person together.”
Back in May, Candace shared that her “fitness isn’t where it used to be” but, she added, “it never goes away.” The actress added that she always does something active during the week, “even if it’s only once or twice a week while traveling for 30 minutes,” before sharing video of herself using Stokes’ app.
“I always bring my Kira bands everywhere I go. But that’s all I had,” she said. “No weights. Just my body and a water bottle—whatever works!” Candace said she did a warmup with a resistance band, a full body ladder, standing ab exercises, more abs, and more resistance band training.
And in April, Candace shared another video of herself working out with the Kira Stokes Fit app (can you tell she really, really loves it?):
But Candace also told Eating Well that long walks are in the mix, too. “The secret is doing the type of exercise I actually enjoy so it doesn’t feel like a chore,” she said. “I also love social walks or hikes with a friend.”
A while back, the actress actually opened up about her previously struggle with an eating disorder, bulimia, and her recovery. So, these days, she told Eating Well that she tries to fuel up on healthy ingredients to bolster her for her busy lifestyle. “I’m in the best shape of my life in my 40s,” she said. “I’m grateful for my body, which makes me want to continue to care for it well, specifically through the foods I eat, exercising, and getting the rest I need.”
Overall, Candace said she tries to limit processed foods and prefers intermittent fasting, but she doesn’t restrict any food groups. She starts her day with a cup of matcha tea and lots of water, with lunch being a hearty bowl of whole grains, greens, veggies, and lean protein like seafood or chicken.

She might snack on pistachios, fresh fruit, almonds, or veggies and tuna, before having a dinner of some kind of lean protein, whole grains, and cooked veggies. Candace said she tries to minimize how much added sugar she has, but she does like to have an ice cream cone now and again.
Now, where can I get that Barbie outfit?
