Cash & ornaments worth Rs 32 lakh burgled from builder’s bungalow in Pune’s Bhosale Nagar | Pune News

PUNE: Gold and diamond ornaments collectively worth Rs 23.50 lakhs and cash Rs 9 lakh were burgled by unidentified intruders from the bungalow of a builder Deepak Jagtap (52) in Bhosale Nagar on the Range Hills Road.
The Chatushrungi policesaid the theft occurred sometime between 10.30pm on Saturday and 12.30pm on Sunday when the culprits entered the bungalow by breaking a sliding window of the kitchen in the rear.They proceeded to one of the bedrooms on the second floor and broke open a wardrobe, which had two lockers containing the booty they stole, police said.
Assistant inspector Ravindra Patil told TOI, “A CCTV footage shows that two men jumped over the compound wall of the bungalow and gained access inside from the kitchen’s sliding window and stole ornaments and cash from the wardrobe’s two lockers and decamped with the booty from the same place.”
Patil said, “We are analyzing footage in Ashoknagar where Jagtap’s bungalow in located and nearby localities to establish trail of the burglars before and after the crime. We are also conducting technical investigations and we hope to detect the case at the earliest.”
