2 female artist from Detroit just gave us a funky and nostalgic feel with their new single Earthquake. K. Lajuan and Y3nom just gave us of Y3k! exactly that on their new single “Earthquake.” These two girls who are from the Westside of Detroit came together because of their mutual respect and friendship. Watching each other grind as solo artists they decided to join forces. Both girls bonded by the familiarity of the loss of a father from their childhoods. Having both the same zodiac signs Libra and versatile rap styles they feel they can be unstoppable.
Inspiration.
The ladies are inspired by all types of forms of music from hip-hop, pop, R&B and rock music all in between. The ladies’s’ newest single earthquake reminds me of a mix between Miami and Atlanta bases, which is interesting because they are both from Detroit. So I wonder if the house Music sound of Detroit mixing in with the Atlanta and Miami base gave them inspiration for their new single earthquake.
Overall, the ladies made a great song. Earthquake is a great song of the summer and I could hear it at clubs across the country, especially in Miami Atlanta, and all the southern and midwestern regions where that of club music, bounce Music and base music is big.
