Goyard’s version is made from a canvas fabric, with leather handles and trim, and has removable inner pockets that let you adjust it for what you need.
It’s also completely reversible, with the brand’s instantly-recognisable pattern creating the illusion that the bag is see through.
Although the luxury version comes with a pretty eye-watering price tag, you can always count on the high street to come through with a much more budget-friendly version, and in this case, you’ll be spoilt for choice as we’ve found two almost identical versions, both of which come in under £50.
To start with, we have Mango’s Shopper Bag with Printed Logo,£49.99 here, with its printed logo-style pattern making it a pretty impressive match for Goyard’s luxury version.
Rather than canvas, Mango’s bag is made from faux leather which helps give it a much more high-end look, and had similar faux leather shoulder straps and a metal clasp across the middle to secure it.
Available in three colours, you can choose from navy, brown and burgundy, with each offering a similar optical illusion effect to the designer option.
If you’re looking for something even more affordable, H&M has you covered with its Brown Patterned Shopper,£21.99 here.
Although this version doesn’t resemble the Goyard one quite as closely, it still has a distinctive pattern that’s reminiscent of the luxury bag, and comes in a very similar shape and size, with its large square design and short shoulder straps.
It also comes with two internal compartments that help you keep your things safe and organised, and is made from a canvas-style fabric that has a similar finish and texture to Goyard’s.
Aside from their luxury looks, both bags are practical and versatile, making them the perfect roomy tote bag for the summer.
With plenty of room for everything you need for a day out, you can get everything inside, from picnic essentials to an umbrella and light jacket for the inevitable weather change.
We might not be splashing out almost £1000 on a handbag any time soon, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get the look, and we’ll most definitely be dropping one of these high street versions into our carts.
