PUMA, DISTINCT LIFE Celebrate Slum Village And Detroit

PUMA and Distinct Life link with rap group Slum Village for a new shoe and apparel collection celebrating Detroit hip hop and Fantastic Vol. 2.

Visual artist Rick Williams and the iconic Detroit rap group Slum Village revealed on social media the Fabric of Hip-Hop: Slum Village Fantastic Volume 2 shoe and apparel collection, a collaboration between PUMA and DISTINCT LIFE.

Released today (8/1/2023) as a part of DISTINCT LIFE’s ‘Detroit Inspires the World Series’, the collection pays homage to Detroit’s profound contribution to Hip-Hop and celebrates Slum Village’s seminal album, Fantastic Vol. 2.

The limited edition collection consists of two t-shirts and a custom pair of classic PUMA suedes, with branding from Slum Village’s Fantastic Vol. 2 album and DISTINCT LIFE’s signature Horizon camo designed by Williams on the shoe’s insole, back and lace tips.

Not only is the special collection a celebration of Detroit’s cultural legacy, but it is a testament to the enduring influence of Hip-Hop music and its ability to transcend boundaries between music, fashion, and art worldwide.
