THIS WEEKEND: Beer block party, celebrating hip-hop and more (Aug. 12-13)

IT IS DRY BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO BE ON A DRY TREND TODAY. SO ACROSS THE AREA, WE DON’T HAVE ANY WET WEATHER TO WORRY ABOUT. SO ENJOY THIS MORNING AS YOU’RE HEADING OUT AND ABOUT AND THROUGHOUT THE DAY AS WELL. IT IS GOING TO BE A BEAUTIFUL DAY. IT’S QUITE COOL OUTSIDE AS WELL. SO YOU CAN OPEN THE WINDOWS AS YOU’RE GETTING READY FOR WORK OR EVEN TURN DOWN THE WINDOWS AS YOU’RE DRIVING TO WORK. WE’RE LOOKING AT OUR RADAR HERE AND THAT COLD FRONT THAT BROUGHT SOME SHOWERS YESTERDAY. IT’S NOW OFF THE COAST. AND SO WE’RE GOING TO EXPERIENCE CALMER WEATHER FOR THE DAY TODAY. NOW, LOOKING AT OUR TEMPERATURES, WE’RE STARTING OFF THE MORNING IN THE 70S AND 60S 70 AT BWI MARSHALL, 63 AND WOODSTOCK, FREDERICK RIGHT NOW IN THE LOW 70S. AND WE’RE IN THE LOW 70S AND UPPER 60S ON THE EASTERN SHORE AS WELL. SO AGAIN, A NICE COMFORTABLE MORNING TO BE OUT AND ABOUT BY THIS AFTERNOON. WE’RE WARMING UP TO THE 80S AND WE’LL BRING IN A FEW CLOUDS TOWARDS THE AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EVENING HOURS. BUT NO WET WEATHER TO BRACE OURSELVES FOR TODAY. 71 WILL BE AROUND OUR LOWS OVERNIGHT. NOW, THERE COULD BE A LITTLE BREEZE TOWARDS THE AFTERNOON. NOTHING TOO MAJOR, BUT JUST SOMETHING THAT MAY JUST TOSS A PAPER OR TWO AROUND. SO YOU JUST WANT TO BE MINDFUL OF A BREEZE OR TWO IF YOU’RE HEADING OUTDOORS FOR LUNCH. BUT THAT’S GOING TO CALM DOWN TOWARDS THE EVENING HOURS. OUR NEXT CHANCE OF RAIN WILL BE IN TOWARD MORROW, SO THAT’S WHEN WE COULD SEE SOME SHOWERS POPPING UP IN THE AFTERNOON HOURS. MAY EVEN HEAR A RUMBLE OF THUNDER ASSOCIATED WITH THAT. BUT AS WE MOVE CLOSER TO KICKOFF FOR THE RAVENS, THE START OF THE PRE-SEASON, THAT’S WHEN WE’RE REALLY GOING TO KEEP OUR EYES TO THE SKY. SO IT LOOKS LIKE WE’RE GOING TO START OFF THE GAME DRY. BUT AS WE MOVE LATER INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS, THERE COULD BE A ROUND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS COMING IN FROM THE WEST. LOOKS LIKE BY TIME, ALL THE FESTIVITIES ARE DONE IN THE CITY. WE WILL WE SHOULD BE GOOD. SO FOR OUR GAME TODAY OR TOMORROW, WE SHOULD BE ON THE DRIER SIDE. BUT JUST KEEP A PONCHO. MAYBE IN THE CAR JUST IN CASE YOU SEE A SPRINKLE OR TWO POPPING UP WARM AND HUMID, THOUGH WE’RE GOING TO SEE TEMPERATURES IN THE 80S AND THEN EVENTUALLY INTO THE LOW 90S BY THE PEAK OF THE AFTERNOON. AND THEN WE’LL HAVE THOSE CHANCES FOR ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON HOURS. OUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST TODAY, TODAY ARE HIGHS WILL BE AROUND THE AVERAGE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR, 88 DEGREES MOVING INTO TOMORROW. AGAIN, IT’S GOING TO BE HOT AND HUMID. 93 WILL BE THE HIGH BY THE AFTERNOON. AND WE ONLY HAVE A 20% CHANCE OF AN ISOLATED SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM IN THE AFTERNOON. AND THAT MEANS MOST OF US ARE GOING TO BE ON THE DRY SIDE. WE’RE GOING TO BE HOT ON SUNDAY AS WELL.
