Vacationland events canceled or postponed

At Spectrum News Maine, we want to be your community connection with what’s going on. We also want to let you know what events have been canceled because of the tragic events in Lewiston. If there is an event you planned to attend, please check online or call ahead.

The following events planned for the weekend are canceled:

Black Cat Ball with Motor Booty Affair
The Colisée
The Black Cat Ball on Saturday at The Colisée in Lewiston has been canceled due to the tragic events that occurred in our community and for the safety of staff and patrons.

After Dark Halloween
The Children’s Museum and Theatre
The Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine in Portland has cancelled Friday night’s event.

The Children’s Museum and Theatre
Freeport
The music venue in Freeport has cancelled their weekend events out of deep respect for the victims of the tragic events in Lewiston.

The Great Pumpkin Ball
State Theatre
Out of respect for those who have lost their lives and all those impacted by the tragic and senseless events in Lewiston, EqualityMaine and the Equality Community Center have made the decision to cancel Friday’s Great Pumpkin Ball. The event was to take place at the State Theatre on Saturday, October 28th.

Halloween Costume Parade
Patten Free Library
For the safety of staff and the community the library will be closed until further notice.

Mainely Reggae Halloween Concert
Quarter House GA
Quarter House GA in Lewiston has cancelled their Friday night event.

Thriller Throwdown
Monument Square
Thriller Throwdown, the annual Michael Jackson dance party in Monument Square, has been canceled.
