POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 26-year-old Virginia man, Keith Stagg, got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, or rather, the sneaker box. Stagg was arrested in Polk County on Thursday, December 12th, after allegedly shoplifting from Dick’s Sporting Goods in Davenport.
Keith Stagg allegedly stole a backpack, two pairs of Nike shoes, totaling $287, from Dick’s Sporting Goods in Posner Park. Store security witnessed the theft and alerted authorities.

Polk County Sheriff’s deputies swooped in and apprehended the would-be sneaker thief.
The stolen goods were recovered and returned to the store, and Stagg was booked into the Polk County Jail on a retail theft charge.
