Britain’s grey-haired Baby Boomers get more booty calls than their children and grandchildren, a poll found. Fifty per cent of those aged over 59 said they have had a phone call or sent an adult-themed message from a pal wanting a romp.
That compares with just 46 per cent of Millennials – those aged 27 to 42 – and 42% of Generation Z – those aged 16 to 26. Generation X – those aged 43 to 58 – are the least likely get a booty call with just 31% saying they have had one.
Overall 41% of the country have had a phone call or text message late at night from a friend wanting more than just a cuddle. People living in Manchester are the most likely to get a call from a pal looking for love with 51% saying they have received one.
But people from Norwich are the least likely with just 33% having been called late at night for nookie. Adult retailer Lovehoney partnered with phone firm Giffgaff to ask 2,054 UK adults if they had received a booty call.
Lovehoney sex and relationship expert Annabelle Knight said: “The research shows that the older generations still need intimacy just as much as younger age groups.
“And booty calls are far more common that we might have thought. We are all so well connected these days that it is far easier to reach out to friends with a call or text when you may want a bit more than a cuddle.
“Sexual wellness is all about understanding your own needs and desires and having the confidence to have a clear and respectful conversation with a partner.”
After Manchester people from Belfast are the second most likely to have had a booty call with 50% having had one.
London is the third most likely place to get a call with 46% of people in the capital having received one.
