General Booty college career so far
General Booty was a three-star recruit straight from high school and only received offers from JUCO. He started his college football career at Tyler Junior College, where he played and started all 12 games for the Apaches, leading the team to a 7–5 record.
Booty dominated JUCO, throwing for 3,410 yards and 27 touchdowns in his freshman season. He also rushed 70 times for 250 yards and two touchdowns. He led the NJCAA in completions (266), attempts (436), and passing yards. This earned him Division I offers.
The quarterback transferred to Oklahoma in 2022, but he had a very dismal tenure with the program. He played in two games for the Sooners, recording no stats in either matchup. He has now decided to join Louisiana Monroe for his last two years of eligibility.

General Booty is expected to secure the starting role for the Warhawks next season. Despite not recording any statistics at Oklahoma, Booty’s JUCO performances are enough to convince Louisiana Monroe’s head coach that he will thrive on his team.
Booty comes from a family that has produced NFL quarterbacks, and despite the slim chance, he wants to follow in their footsteps. John David Booty was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2008 NFL draft, while Josh Booty was drafted in 2001 by the Seattle Seahawks.
