It’s safe to say that Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o is the queen of rainbow hues when it comes to the red carpet.
Whether it’s emerald green, vibrant orange, ruby red, shimmery gold, royal blue, peach, purple or all color variations mixed in one, you can count on her to step out confidently bold. Nyong’o is one of Hollywood’s most sought-after stars on the red carpet at premieres, award shows, galas and more. Despite the “Black Panther” fashionista’s love for bright color palettes, Nyong’o is also known to step-and-repeat wearing simple colors like white, denim and black.
But there’s one thing we would like to add to that fact: she makes up for such simplicity by incorporating texture, gems, long extravagant trains, feathers and other embellishments to her fashion ensembles. Show-stopping moments at their best! When it comes to hairstyles, Nyong’o’s looks are statement-making and the epitome of art. Bottom line: the actress has masterfully harnessed fashion as a way to express her inner being and culture.
On the awards front, her biggest claim to fame was winning the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for “12 Years a Slave” (2014). Below, let’s take a glance at Lupita Nyong’o’s style file and some of her most memorable looks in our red carpet fashion gallery.
