Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC Revealed During State Of Play

As a part of the September PlayStation State Of Play showcase, Capcom revealed Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways, a new downloadable content pack coming to Resident Evil 4 Remake on September 21.

The trailer showed footage of Ada Wong–Leon Kennedy’s helper/hinderer during the Resident Evil 4 campaign–front and center as she battles Los Illuminados under the direction of a mysterious voice over the radio. We see her scaling the castle walls, dropping through the spiral staircase, and taking on multiple baddies, all while getting a few looks at Albert Wesker as well.

Separate Ways was also the name of a minigame found in every release of the original Resident Evil 4 after the initial GameCube launch. That minigame started Ada as well, and there she was shown to be instrumental in Leon’s success, but from the shadows.

The State Of Play held more Resident Evil 4 surprises, as the in-game Mercenaries mode will see a Separate Ways related update on the same day as the DLC. Also, a new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 VR mode debuted, which offered another look at Leon’s remade adventure from his perspective.

Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways launches September 21 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Resident Evil 4 VR Mode is scheduled to launch this winter.
