Why Small Businesses Matter in Bethel: Sarandipity Nail Design

Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

Meet Sara Lewis owner of Sarandipity Nail Design.

Why did you start your business?

I started Sarandipity Nails right at the end of the pandemic. Not many places were hiring and with my luck, I stumbled upon Britt’s Nail Bar (now The Nail Bar Collective) as a patron. Britt heard me talking about my experience as a nail technician in the past and offered me an opportunity to start my own business under the umbrella of her salon. Being a busy mom of two creating my small business with such great support sounded like a golden opportunity, and thus Sarandipity Nails was born!

What is your best-selling product/service?

My best-selling service is the structured gel manicure. I use my 12 years of experience to skillfully provide precise cuticle care and nail shaping. The structured gel is an overlay on your natural nail, the gel is a thicker viscosity providing strength and structure to your natural nail. I then apply a color gel or some really fun nail art!

Have you reimagined your small business?

Sarandipity nails is only 2 years old right now but I have big plans for the future. Stay tuned!

Sarandipity Nail Design is located inside the Nail Bar Collective at Arista Beauty Studios, 43 Grassy Plain Street.
